Netscape Gold is a web page maker.  Netscape bundled it (calling it Page Composer) with other features when it revised its browser and expanded the download package in 1997.  If you already have Netscape Communicator, a lighthouse icon should appear on your Windows desktop.  If you know that the only Netscape on your computer has the ship's wheel icon, then you may wish to follow these instructions for downloading and installing Netscape Communicator.

If you have Netscape Communicator, follow the steps in these instructions to try out its web page making wizard, a tutorial that you can use to make any new web page.   Use the buttons on your Windows status bar (with the "Start" button on it) to switch back and forth among this page, page composer, and the directions that will open in another copy of your browser when you click on the link below. 

Be sure to save the page you make with Page Composer because you will be editing it with Front Page.
