For teachers who want to learn more about teaching online, here are some options.   These aren't endorsements, just information, so caveat emptor.

bulletThe Convene company's training for online teaching involves a CD-ROM and hosted server in a six-week online program of studies. The course begins every two weeks and cost (in 1999) less than $400.
bulletCalifornia State University at Hayward has a 4-course certificate program in online teaching.  Read the press release to glimpse one teacher's experience of one course, a listing of the four quarter courses leading to 18 quarter credits, and see contact information at the end.
