The main problem between Mr. and Mrs. Wright may have been communication. Mr. Wright seemed like the type of husband who kept to himself and discussed nothing with his wife. I think that if Mr. and Mrs. Wright had children, nothing would change. Mr. Wright would be the same as he is now. It seems as though the only way he will talk to his wife is when he either wants to disagree with something she has to say or he wants to tell her to do something for him. Mrs. Wright is lonely because her and her husband don't communicate so they have no bond in their marriage.

It seems that Mrs. Wright had lots of reasons for being lonely. While her husband was out all day doing farm work, she was at home all by herself. She had no kids so the could not keep her company. While at home all day none of the other women would come over to her house, because they thought that it was depressing. Mrs. Wright also did not join the town's lady's league. It was apparent that she and her husband did not get along as well as they could have.
In the end she still did not have the right to kill her husband.
